ATASCADERO — The North County Wedding Expo is gearing up for its third spring event, its fourth overall event, this Sunday, Feb. 25, from 3:30-6:30 p.m. at the Atascadero Lake Pavilion.
The organizers of the expo seek to showcase north San Luis Obispo County as a wedding destination and they strive to provide a one-stop-shop highlighting talented wedding professionals from the area.
Whether brides are seeking to find unique details to make their day extra special, or if they are looking to book an essential part of their wedding, the North County Wedding Expo provides a space to find everything needed to make the big day a memorable success.
This year, the organizers of the expo specifically marketed the event to brides in recently devastated areas like Santa Rosa and Santa Barbara, in order to help brides who may have lost their venue or other wedding related items.
Brigitte Faulkner, owner of Central Coast Party Helpers and an expo sponsor, said she wanted to help victims of the recently devastated areas by offering them a discount on her services.
“A lot of brides from those areas are just devastated,” Faulkner said. “Whoever lost their venue in a fire...I know they’re out there and I want to help.”
Faulkner will be at the expo with a booth and is offering a discount to those who book with her at the event.
Since its inception, the expo has had a number of unique aspects that set it apart from other similar events. The boutique event is small by design and allows future brides and grooms to engage and connect with their potential vendors.

The expo also provides free champagne to attendees, along with goodie bags and deluxe goodie bags to brides who pre-register on the website.
Whether brides are coming from near or far, the North County Wedding Expo can be a valuable resource for future brides and grooms looking to make their big day perfect.
