ATASCADERO — The Charles Paddock Zoo in Atascadero is awaiting the births of red panda babies that could happen any week now.
The births would be happy news at the zoo, which lost two red panda babies born last fall to the same parents.
Not a lot of research has yet been conducted on the red panda, so data on the animals is scarce. Still, the animals have been successfully bred in captivity, and that is likely to be the case at the Atascadero zoo this summer. For the complete article see the 08-06-2014 issue.
