ATASCADERO — High-speed chases are apparently becoming a regular occurrence in Atascadero and the Atascadero Police Department wants to make sure residents are aware of the situation.
A press release issued by the police department Sunday says that officers were involved in an “unprecedented” four vehicle pursuits over an eight-day period from July 6 to July 13.
All of the pursuits ended with the arrest of the suspect drivers with the exception of one, who police are still looking for.
“The police department is releasing this information because these incidents are inherently dangerous,” wrote Police Sergeant Jason Carr in the press release Sunday. “We want to make citizens aware of these types of incidents so they can be safe on our roadways”.For the complete article see the 07-16-2014 issue.
