Betty Ann Overholt from Atascadero went home to our father in heaven on April 14, 2014. She raised three children Debbie, Tami and Mark. Betty also had six grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was born to Marcus E. Morphew and Noma D. Morphew on May 21, 1936 in Oklahoma. Betty lived on the property of her daughter Tami and Leo Tidwell.
Betty loved family and they meant the world to her. Her eyes twinkled with joy when she talked about each one of them. She had a deep personal relationship with the oldest to the youngest.
Betty loved the Lord Jesus and worshipped faithfully at ABC Bible Church for 10 years. She loved to serve and deliver her church family meals when needed and was also committed to the local homeless shelter, ECHO for seven years. She did this faithfully and joyfully for the Lords Glory.
Betty's life was also filled with many friends. She loved iced tea and she loved to listen to country music.
She had a heart of gold and made sure everyone had a piece of her heart.
Betty was easy to talk with, she shared her heartaches and blessings easily. It was easy to talk with her and she quietly listened with a compassionate heart. She was also known to give you a swift kick if she thought you were out of line. But mostly the room was filled with laughter when she was around. That is what made her "Betty BOOP" to those who knew her well.
She will be missed and because of God's mercy upon her life she has left a legacy of love for Jesus, family and others.
