ATASCADERO — A local park will be hosting a fundraiser to add insulation for its building to provide a more moderate climate for the extreme athletes that dedicate themselves to the sports of scootering, BMX or skateboarding.
The City of Atascadero provides a really cool place to go for kids of all ages to enjoy good, clean, and safe fun. An 8000 square foot sheet metal building sits nestled beside the softball fields on Traffic Way. The is the home of George C. Beatie Park — better known as A-Town Park. Here, families with children as young as 3-years-old congregate at the park to celebrate the joy of BMX, scootering and skateboarding. The facility offers bowls, ramps, street features and more.
