The power of pink

ATASCADERO — When local teen Sarah Stafford decided to restore an antique tractor for JB Dewar’s “Find It Fix It, Win $2,500” contest, she had no idea that the effort would eventually blossom into an full-blown campaign to help raise funds for a local breast cancer support fund.

Oak Creek Ranch owners Ed and Linda Bernard decided to donate a 1940 Allis Chalmers Model B tractor for Stafford to restore after seeing the project she had done the previous year, telling her that she should “do something spectacular with it, sell it and make some money for college.”
