ATASCADERO — While groundwater levels continue to drop and wells continue to go dry across much of the Paso Robles Groundwater Basin, Atascadero Mutual Water Company General Manager John Neil says that the Atascadero sub-basin is “in pretty good shape” and groundwater levels are the highest they’ve been in years.
“Atascadero water levels have actually come up and they’re actually higher than they were in 2009,” Neil told the Atascadero City Council during a report Tuesday. “Even though we only had eight and a half inches of rain last year, the basin was brimming full. Our water levels are as good as they’ve ever been for this time of year.” For the complete article see the 09-13-2013 issue.
