Edith Mae Crosby, (maiden name: Skidmore), age 92 passed away on Sunday Sept.1, 2013 in Templeton, Calif. She was born on Nov. 18, 1920 in Lynn, Mass. to her parents Mr. Wallace Skidmore and Mrs. Jennie Skidmore.
Edith was married to Robert (Bing) William Crosby on Oct. 12, 1941 in Andover, Mass. Edith was the mother of two children, a son Richard Crosby and a daughter Dale (Crosby) Richards. Bing and Edith moved from Long Beach, Calif. to Paso Robles, Calif. in 1987 and lived there until their passing.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served as primary president, relief society president, faithful visiting teacher and many other callings in the church. She served in many quiet ways all her life. She never said a bad thing about anyone, was kind to all, patient in all things and faithful to the end.
Edith will be remembered by her loving daughter Dale Richards and son-in-law Kevin Richards and their children Darrell, Hillary and Candice Richards, her son Richard Crosby and his daughters Taryn, Amberly, and Ashley, their husbands and 11 great grandchildren. Edith was preceded in death by Robert Crosby on Oct. 28, 1995.
Relatives and friends are invited to a service for Edith Crosby at 10 a.m. on Sept. 20 at the LDS church on 1020 Creston Road in Paso Robles. She will be buried at Paso Robles, Cemetery. Arrangements made by Chapel of the Roses, 3450 El Camino Real in Atascadero. Flowers should be delivered there
