Scaffolding comes down

Scaffolding is missing from the west and north sides of the once and future city hall building as the journey toward the August opening date continues. The remaining scaffolding will be removed today. According to Bernards, which has been providing construction management during the restoration, the rest of the exterior work can be done with a ladder or scissor lift. The major restoration work is scheduled for completion by the end of June, with a “punch list” of items to be completed through July. According to Bernards, the city of Atascadero is expected to begin moving in on Aug. 2.
