Downtown Atascadero gets a kick

ATASCADERO — Sensei Brock Stratton has given Atascadero’s downtown Colony District a literal kick in the pants. Or maybe it’s a kick-start. Or maybe, as the owner of Pacific Coast Martial Arts Academy, he simply brings hundreds of kicks per day to the area. On Monday, March 4 — Stratton’s 51st birthday — the karate school reopened in its new downtown location in the spot that Grisanti Hardware used to occupy. In Stratton’s own words, the move is a dream come true.
