Hares & Hounds to race March 7

ATASCADERO — The Hares & Hounds annual 5K fundraiser run is approaching fast. In fact, it takes place this weekend, Saturday, March 9. Over the last 15 years, the run has become an Atascadero mainstay and favorite, bringing hundreds of runners from all over the county each year. That’s not without reason. The run begins and ends at Atascadero Lake and it’s short enough not to be too daunting to those new to running — or walking — while its rolling hills make it challenging enough to be interesting to even the most experienced runner.
