ATASCADERO — Carol Beyer of Atascadero died on Jan. 8, 2013, in Templeton.
He was born in Emporia, Kan., in 1932, and he had 14 siblings. He graduated from high school in Newton, Kan., in 1952 and attended Stormont Vale School of Nursing in Topeka Kan.
Carol prayed for a strong Christian husband while in high school. She then met her husband, Edgar, while he was in the Air Force and they married in 1954 in Wichita, Kan. They settled in San Luis Obispo County in 1981 after residing in Illinois, Indiana, Maryland and Texas.
Carol enjoyed dancing, singing at church, attending Bible study and Gideon Axillary. She spread the love of Christ through hugs, coupons and generous giving.
Carol is survived by her husband; children, Cindy Lewis of Atascadero, Reid (Erin) Beyer of Santa Margarita, Jeanne Beyer of Weed; six siblings in Kansas; and her greatest joy, grandchildren, Aubrey Beckering, Jeremie Lauffer, Kaylen Calvert, Zachery and Jacob Beyer.
Carol’s family wishes to thank the staff at Vineyard Hills Health Center, Twin Cities Community and French Hospitals.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 11 a.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Atascadero.
