SHANDON — Frank Wicks Jr. of Shandon, 85, died in Templeton on Jan.22, 2013.
Frank was born on Aug. 14, 1926.
Most people remember Frank as the “Windmill Man,” the guy with the yellow hardhat and pipe in his teeth. Frank could “fix anything.” He installed and repaired pumps and windmills in five counties. Frank was in all phases of construction for more than 50 years, a World War II veteran and member of the Methodist church.
Frank is survived by son, Kelly Wicks, and his wife, Myrna; son, Frank Wicks III, and wife, Debbie; daughter, Rachel Wicks Stockdale, all of Shandon; daughter, Shelly Wicks of Reserve, N.M.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He’s gone to be with Jesus, but he’ll sure be missed.
Graveside services will be held at Shandon Cemetery Monday on Monday, Jan. 28 at 2 p.m.
