PASO ROBLES — Doris May Kennedy, 87, died peacefully on Dec. 28, 2012, with her daughter, Donna DiFatta, and granddaughter by her side. She died after a long, difficult struggle from complications from a hernia surgery in Salinas on Oct. 1, 2012.
She was born in August 1925 in Long Beach. Doris graduated from Ventura High School, where she met the love of her live, Donald Martin Kennedy. They married and had a daughter, Donna Joyce Kennedy. Together they had lived in Ventura; Tripoli, Libya; Port Harcourt, Nigeria; Palmdale; and retired to Paso Robles to live close to their daughter and grandchildren at Lake Nacimiento.
Doris loved the water, enjoyed traveling, spending time on the lake, boating, fishing, barbecuing and enjoying sun-filed days with friends and family.
Doris’ family and friends will miss her quick wit, way with words, courage, tenacity and love for life and living.
Doris is survived by her daughter, Donna DiFatta (Mick); granddaughters, Sherrall Grayson, Dana Marie Kennedy and Geena Leilani DiFatta; and great-grandchildren.
Doris requested that there be no service. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Donald Martin Kennedy, in Paso Robles.For the complete article see the 01-11-2013 issue.
