PASO ROBLES — John Allen Savage, 62, of Paso Robles died peacefully on Nov. 29, 2012, with his family surrounding him.
He was born in Modesto on Feb.12, 1950, the son of Henry and Betty Savage.
He was a dedicated lineman to the overhead power industry with PG&E and Henkles and McKoy for more than 40 years. He was also an active member of the local Elk’s Lodge No. 2364 (Elk of the Year 2011-12), the Masonic Lodge No.196, and the Paso Robles Moose Lodge No. 243. He served his country in the Coast Guard aboard USS RUSH from 1968–1972.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Savage Sr., and his best bud, Jesse Armas.
John was survived by his wife, Cheryl; his mother, Betty Savage; children, Ryan with wife Adrienne, Shannon with husband Eric Carter, and Jennifer with husband Josh Eppert; his seven grandchildren, Robbie and Renae Boggs, Wyatt and Kendall Savage and Hailey, Lane and Madison Eppert; his brother, Hank Savage Jr. and wife Laura; and sisters, Pam Armas and Tam Savage.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Dec. 9 at 10 a.m. at the Kuehl-Nicolay Funeral Home in Paso Robles with a celebration of life immediately following at the Paso Robles Elks Lodge.
