ATASCADERO — Harold Nakano, 85, died on Nov. 22, 2012.
Born in Glenwood, Hawaii, in 1927, he went on to serve in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War.
Harold retired from McDonnell Douglas where he was employed as a skilled mechanic and designer.
He had a kind heart, a great sense of humor, and a warm smile. Harold was devoted to God, his church and his family.
Surviving is his wife of near 56 years, Carol; daughters Pam (Tom) McLaughlin; Nancy (James) Gutierrez; grandchildren: Scott and Michele McLaughlin; and Chris Gutierrez.
Harold is also survived by sisters Jan and Jeri Nakano; brothers Francis and Edward Nakano all residing in Hawaii. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Atascadero Bible Church, Rooms 102/103 in Atascadero on Dec. 1 at 10 a.m.
