Clifton Mitchell Dunn, 83, died on Nov. 24, 2012.
He was born on Dec. 1, 1928, in Boston, Mass.
At the age of 18 opened his own business called Ashmount Auto Service. Served in the National Guard for eight years. Moved to Anaheim in 1960 and went to work at Allstate insurance Agency as a claim adjuster for 13 years then became property unit manager. In 1976 moved to Atascadero and went into business with brother-in-law Gordon Hilchey Sr. as owners of C. Dunn Incorporated, building of barns and homes. He was also a loyal member of the Moose Lodge in Atascadero since 1980.
A viewing will be held on Friday, Nov. 30 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Chapel of the Roses in Atascadero. A
graveside service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 11 a.m. at the Atascadero District Cemetery. Pastor Steve Shively will officiate.
Clifton is survived by his loving wife, Arliene, of 60 years; three sons, Clifton George, Mitchell William, and Edward David; daughter-in-law, Alicia; grandchildren, Dana Marie, Ryan Clifton, Amy Arliene, Taylor Lee, Courtney Mae, Arliene Anna, and Katie Ann Marie; and two great-grandchildren, Glace Marie, and Belle Starr.For the complete article see the 11-28-2012 issue.
