Dragon Palace breathes new life into Players

ATASCADERO — After standing empty since early 2011, the former Players Pizza building is shifting into its next phase of life as a Dragon Palace King Buffet restaurant. According to the city of Atascadero Design Review Committee staff report, when renovations are complete, the building will be almost unrecognizable. Aside from a different color scheme — red, yellow, and white — popouts are being constructed to give the building more depth and interest. What was the patio will be covered. As a result of the patio and popouts, there will be almost 600 more square feet of space when finished. The roofline will also change dramatically.
