Residents unharmed in Atascadero structure fire

ATASCADERO — The Atascadero Fire Department responded to an early-morning holiday blaze during heavy rain on Saturday, Dec. 29 after the residents of 7576 Cristobal Ave called in the report on their own home just before 4 a.m. The blaze began in a trashcan on the home’s rear patio area and the exterior of the house caught fire, burning the walls and some of the contents of a converted garage.
