DUI checkpoint nets three arrests

ATASCADERO — Three were arrested Friday during the DUI/drivers license checkpoint on the 8400 block of El Camino Real between 6 p.m. and midnight. The Atascadero Police Department traffic unit joined with AVOID 14 partners to conduct the checkpoint. According to the APD, checkpoints are placed in locations that have the greatest opportunity for achieving drunk and drugged driving deterrence and provide the greatest safety for officers and the public.
