Armory cuts dead down trees and it’s OK

ATASCADERO — Folks who drive on Traffic Way regularly will already have noticed that the Atascadero National Guard Armory has a few less trees than it did a week ago. Sgt. David Feist, who oversees the Armory’s day-to-day business, said that he hired an Atascadero arborist to look at the trees which, he said, shed entire limbs at a time in bad weather. The arborist told him the big mature ash trees were dead and dying.
