City gets 450 new oak trees

ATASCADERO — It’s no wonder the Arbor Day Foundation named Atascadero a Tree City, USA 24 years ago. The city of Atascadero’s policies regarding trees are well-known. If a developer or citizen cuts down a tree inside the city limits, that person must either plant another tree to replace it or pay into a tree mitigation fund.
