O’Malley will be city’s 1st elected mayor

ATASCADERO — After receiving 94.43 percent of the vote, Tom O’Malley is Atascadero’s mayor-elect. He will be sworn into office on Dec. 11. Prior to the recent election, Atascadero’s mayor was appointed by the city council. The city council seats, however, have been elected positions since the city’s incorporation in 1979.
