Greyhounds go down fighting

ATASCADERO — One of the best indicators of how things went during the Atascadero High School varsity volleyball team’s game against Arroyo Grande Tuesday is this: Eagles coach Ernie Santa Cruz had to use both of his available timeouts late in the final game.

That’s rare — usually it’s Arroyo Grande’s opponents that are calling the timeouts late in games to settle down their teams.
