NCCS loses war, but wins first battles

ATASCADERO — The North County Christian School girls volleyball team staved off five match points Thursday afternoon in the third set before eventually falling to visiting Maricopa in five sets. The Lady Crusaders, winless in all 15 sets they had played entering the Coast Valley League contest, faced a 24-18 deficit after having dropped the first two sets 25-13 and 25-4.
