ATASCADERO — A series of momentary power outages affected about 2,400 Pacific Gas and Electric customers on Wednesday afternoon.
The first of the outages came at about 4:15 p.m.
PG&E spokesman Blair Jones said the outages were due to the heat, as temperatures reached as high as 108 degrees in parts of town, which increased demand for electricity, particularly for air conditioning. He said Thursday that PG&E is shifting loads to different circuits to improve reliability.
