ATASCADERO — Now that graduation is over, the Atascadero Chamber of Commerce will kick off its weekly Tuesday Evenings at the Lake on June 19. The meals will run through Aug. 28.
The Atascadero Elks barbecue crew prepares the meals that are hosted by various community organizations. Barbecued chicken and sirloin with beans, bread, salad and beverage is served from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by the Atascadero Community Band performing free “Big Band” concerts from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Lake Park Bandstand. Tickets are available at the event or from any member of an organization that’s hosting a barbecue, or call the Chamber office at 466-2044 for additional information. Tickets are $12 each for those 12 and older, seniors 60 and over are $10 each and children 11 and under are $6. Takeout will be available.
The hosts of the June 19 event are PEO and the Community Church of Atascadero United Church of Christ.
The hosts of the June 26 event are St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
The hosts of the July 3 event are Quota International and Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo County.
The hosts of the July 10 event are Atascadero Christian Home and Atascadero Elks Lodge.
The hosts of the July 17 event are Boy Scout Troop 111/176 and Atascadero Chamber of Commerce.
The hosts of the July 24 event are Atascadero Historical Society and Atascadero Veterans Foundation.
The host of the July 31 is the El Camino Homeless Organization.
The hosts of the Aug. 7 event are North County Women’s Shelter and Atascadero State Hospital Building Blocks.
The host of the Aug. 14 event is Friends of the Library.
The hosts of the Aug. 21 event are Atascadero Professional Firefighters and Police Association.
The host of the Aug. 28 event is the Atascadero Kiwanis Club.
