Lori Greer obituary

TEMPLETON — Lori Jean Greer, 40, died on Friday, June 1, 2012, surrounded by her family.

Lori was born in San Luis Obispo and grew up in Templeton. She will be remembered for her strong will, great sense of humor, and for touching the lives of all who knew her.

Lori graduated from Templeton High School and attended Cuesta College. She worked and volunteered at Templeton High School. Lori trained guide dogs for 4-H, participated in Special Olympics and was a member of Online Angels where she donated her knitted hats and quilts to many charities. Lori enjoyed connecting with old and new friends and family on Facebook.

Lori was preceded in death by her brother, David (Donna); grandparents Marguerite and Walter Dubin, and Jack and Winnie Greer.

Lori is survived by her parents, Gene and Shirley; brothers, Jack (Kathy) and Michael (Sarah); best friend, Heidi Holm; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at the Chapel of the Roses in Atascadero on Thursday, June 7 from 4 to 8 p.m. A celebration of life will be held in July in Templeton.

Contributions can be made on Lori’s behalf to the American Diabetes Association, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Hospice Partners and Online Angels.
