Some 31,000 marijuana plants were located and eradicated on the Rinconada Trail in the Los Padres National Forest Thursday.
San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s narcotics detectives teamed with state and federal authorities to remove the mature plants and clear the site of debris and weaponry.
Sheriff’s Department Public Information Officer Rob Bryn said the plants were airlifted from the site.
