A July 4 fire in California Valley burned across 10 acres of land and consumed numerous outbuildings and vehicles at Cherokee Road and Arrow Bear Trail.
More than 200 firefighting personnel fought the blaze that jumped one roadway and burned five mobile homes, two travel trailers and eight outbuildings, though the structures and vehicles were in such poor condition that no damage costs were assessed.
