Community Spotlight: Exchanging cultures

Felicia Olofssonn got her first-ever pair of flip-flops last month.

That might seem like a huge oversight — how does any 16-year-old girl in California go so long without flip-flops? By not being Californian, that’s how. Felicia is a Swedish exchange student who lives with a host family in Atascadero. She’s been in the United States for two months.

“It’s a cool thing to do and it’s a life experience,” Felicia said. “It’s really hot here.”
