Longtime Atascadero resident John Carroll Dorman, 74, died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, after suffering complications of heart disease. John passed away surrounded by his loving family.
The youngest of John and Carol (Jones) Dorman's three children, John was born on May 5, 1942, in Altadena, Calif. He spent most of his childhood in Pacific Grove, Calif.

Marty was born to Julia and Fredrick Kellerman in Queens, N.Y. His schooling was in Brooklyn. He went to the University of Washington, where he received his Ph.D. in chemistry. He spent two years doing research in La Jolla, Calif.

Carolyn Kidder Bischof, 86, of Paso Robles, died Nov. 11, 2016, of natural causes at her home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Bischof, in 1999.
Both Caroline and Bernard were nature lovers. She worked as an architect/planner for the U.S. Forestry Department, while Bernard worked as a surveyor, building highways in the central coast area.

His parents, Nicola Jadallaha Afana and Dorothy Lorraine Afana Talbert, started their Paso Robles Almond Farm in the late 1930s. Eli was the second born of their five sons.
