Hounds’ Berwick hits game winner with swagger

ATASCADERO — Atascadero High School’s Ewing Gymnasium erupted with the sounds of boos when the referees whistle threatened to change the course of the biggest basketball game of the 2013 PAC 7 season so far. The Atascadero High School Greyhounds, led by Robert Berwick, hosted the first-place Righetti Warriors in what many considered to be the battle for the PAC 7 title. Berwick handled the ball in the final 12 seconds, planned the Warriors demise while he dribbled the clock out and made the final shot of the game for a 66-63 victory.
