11-year-old boy cleans up at All-Comers meet

Athlete Justice Fair jumps more than 13 feet in the long jump. His personal best is 14 feet 7 inches.

ATASCADERO — Pismo beach resident Justice Fair came to compete in the All-Comers meet on Wednesday, and compete he did.

Fair, 11, is going into sixth grade at Shell Beach Elementary School, and is a multisport athlete. He said he thinks of himself as a serious athlete, and he plays baseball and basketball , but his favorite is running . At Wednesday's All-Comers meet, he earned top honors in both the high jump he cleared 4 feet 6 inches and the long jump 13 feet 9 inches.

But, possibly due to the uncharacteristically cold evening , he didn't beat his personal bests of 4 feet 10 inches or 14 feet 7 inches.

But Fair wasn't bothered.

"I like running, but I don't practice much," he said. "I'm just here to run, to have fun."
