For most golfers, a hole-in-one is a once-in-a-lifetime achievement, but Trevor LaSalle did it twice in one round.
He aced the third and seventh holes at Chalk Mountain Golf Course on July 9.
“The first one, I had an 8-iron and I spun it back about three feet back in the hole,” LaSalle said. “On hole No. 7, I hit a pitching wedge and I spun that one about 10 feet back in the hole.”
He usually plays from the blue tees but in that round, he was playing the white tees, meaning he doesn’t usually use an 8-iron or a pitching wedge for those holes.
The two holes-in-one were the first he’s ever hit, and some research has told him the odds of getting two in the same round are something like 76 million to one.
