The Atascadero High School varsity track team split with San Luis Obispo on Thursday, with the Greyhound boys beating the Tigers 69-67 and the girls losing 83-53.
Dalton Spinas won the discus (120-1) and shot put (49-0) to lead the Hounds, while Kyler Snyder won the 100-meter run in 11.92 seconds.
AHS Wrestling
Josh Lowe advanced the farthest of any Greyhound in the CIF State Wrestling Championships this past weekend at Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield, falling just one win shy of placing.
He won four matches in the consolation bracket at 135 pounds before falling to Adam Hendrickson of Healdsburg, who went on to place seventh.
Michael Clemmensen (103 pounds), Paul Woodman (140) and Elijah Jackson (145) were all eliminated in the consolation rounds.
