ATASCADERO — With about a dozen educational booths with projects for children to work on and zoo animals to check out, the fourth annual Conservation Celebration at the Charles Paddock Zoo had something for everyone, no matter what age or interests.

Included among the booths at the event were Resource Conservation Districts, an organization dedicated to helping land owners manage their land; Paso Robles Bamboo, a new bamboo nursery; Energy Watch, which gave away free compact fluorescent light bulbs, the Marine Mammal Center, which rescues and places marine mammals back into the wild or into zoos and the Atascadero Native Tree Association, which is dedicated to planting and helping Atascadero’s native trees flourish.
