A recent daylong workshop in San Luis Obispo looked at the potential effects of climate change on San Luis Obispo County, particularly what the county would need to do in order to respond to the changes in the coming decades.
“This is adaptation,” said senior county planner James Caruso. “That means climate change is occurring and it’s going to have effects on various natural systems. This effort was modeling at a very local level, trying to model those potential changes.”
