Humphrey crowned 2016 Miss California Mid-State Fair

San Luis Obispo native Victoria Humphrey, 17, was crowned the 2016 Miss California Mid-State Fair Queen, Tuesday, July 19 with first runner-up Carley Cockrum, 18, and second runner-up, Tahnee Bray, 20, both of Paso Robles, also crowned that night.

Budweiser Clydesdales join fair parade for first time ever

The Budweiser Clydesdales made their triumphant return to the Mid-State Fair July 20.

4 teens charged following home invasion robbery in Templeton

TEMPLETON -- Four teenagers were arrested early Wednesday morning after allegedly storming into a party with guns, and stealing partygoers' cell phones and wallets before driving away in a stolen BMW and pickup truck, according to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office.
The suspects have been identified as 19-year-old Donovan James Alvord of Templeton, 18-year-old Albert Charles Heinicke Jr.
