Santa Margarita Fire Department hosts children's day

SANTA MARGARITA -- Last month members of local nonprofit organization Parents for Joy -- an organization created to raise the funds needed for a playground in Atascadero designed for children with special needs -- visited several fire and law enforcement agencies around the North County distributing "pocket quilts," small quilts meant to remind officers and firefighters that they are appreciated.

ATASCADERO -- Atascadero resident Dale Burr, 28, was arrested on multiple felony charges after leading police on vehicle and foot pursuit Thursday.
