The public is invited along on a magical journey through the surreal fabric of a dreamscape brought to life by dance as Class Act Dance Studio stages scenes from “DreamCatcher,” an original show written, produced and directed by North County native Jesus Solorio.
Solorio will also perform the song “Phoenix” during one of the numbers.
Solorio was catapulted onto the national scene in 2007 when he was named one of the top 20 competitors in the third season of FOX’s hit reality show, “So You Think You Can Dance.” He will also appear on an upcoming program for the Oxygen channel called “Dance Your Ass Off,” a dance/weight loss competition show.
Despite a busy schedule working as a professional dancer in Los Angeles, the North County native always finds time to return to his hometown and his previous dance studio. Solorio is a former student from Class Act Dance Studio in Paso Robles and frequently lends his talent to the organization’s shows. This is the second time in many years that the local company has staged “DreamCatcher” and each time Solorio has taken an active role in coaching the cast of local dancers.
“They love working with him,” said June Greenawalt of Class Act Dance.
